וַיִּהְי֣וּ עֹשִׂ֔ים גּ֥וֹי גּ֖וֹי אֱלֹהָ֑יו וַיַּנִּ֣יחוּ ׀ בְּבֵ֣ית הַבָּמ֗וֹת אֲשֶׁ֤ר עָשׂוּ֙ הַשֹּׁ֣מְרֹנִ֔ים גּ֥וֹי גּוֹי֙ בְּעָ֣רֵיהֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֛ר הֵ֥ם יֹשְׁבִ֖ים שָֽׁם׃
Namun setiap bangsa membuat allah mereka sendiri dan menaruhnya di rumah-rumah bukit pengorbanan yang telah dibuat oleh orang Samaria. Setiap bangsa berbuat demikian di kota-kota tempat mereka tinggal.
